The second release from Digital Diamonds is a 4-track EP from Canada’s original techtrance pioneers, Nuclear Ramjet. Coming off strong from the 2006 release of Mission To Sedna, Nuclear Ramjet provides a quartet of older songs composed in their distinctive space age style. Liquified is unique to this release but the others have been previously released–Neoponik and iBrator were released with DJ Yeb’s Cold Groove Records and Down The Wall has been lifted from DJ Clown’s Rewired compilation.

Digital Diamonds is a brand new netlabel founded by Alic with a focus on “deep techno and trance music with soul.” This philosophy is expressed in their first release, a classy techtrance single from the German artist Simmetune. The Mechanik EP features a variety of moods, from the hard and pounding title track–which contains overtones of Tony Rohr’s voodoo techno style–to the contemplative technical groove of Die Flucht, the cinematic richness of Synthetik, and the breakbeat-driven ambiance of Philosophie.
