Transient Dawn – Salida Del Sol

Transient Records fourth release after their collapse and recent resurrection is Salida Del Sol (“Sunrise” in Spanish), ostensibly a sequel of sorts to Transient Dawn, released in 1997. Conceivably, the concept remains the same: this compilation is designed to showcase morning-friendly music, as the name would imply. Of course, the energetic full-on style of Salida Del Sol has almost nothing in common with the late-nineties vision of morning trance, which, at the time, consisted of deep tribal Goa trance. Qualms with the choice of name aside, the lightly mixed Transient Dawn: Salida Del Sol profiles artists new and old, gathering nine songs selected by DJ Kristian that share an upbeat and melodic approach.
