After nearly two years of service to the global psytrance community, the time has come to announce the closure of the Ektoplazm BitTorrent tracker. Instead of using BitTorrent to distribute the free music featured on Ektoplazm, I now plan to host everything on the web for direct download. As a result, there is really no need for BitTorrent any more. Effective immediately, the tracker is closed for business! If you would like to know more, read on. The sixth release from Digital Diamonds features a pair of new songs by Tapwatr, the latest project from Canadian producer Jeremy Reid, label manager of Cold Groove Records. Alic and October Rust round out the Dirty Things EP with a pair of brooding remixes to the title track. Described as an innovative fusion of classic techtrance and modern electro grooves, Tapwatr has a cutting edge sound that will go down well on contemporary dance floors. Stay tuned for forthcoming releases on Iboga, Echoes, Beef, and Attitude Recordings.

It is the end of an era.
In celebration of the love, passion and memories that have evolved from our times at Off-The-Wall, we salute the passing of an electronic music staple in Buffalo.
As in life, so shall it also be in death. It will resound with hedonistic sights, sounds and feelings within our loving memories.
We know not what the next step will be without Off-The-Wall in our music scene. However, we know that its memory demands celebration.
So shall it be done.

I have to say, it is a very cool thing to hear a mix featuring music from the site! Psyentifica has been very active in providing detailed comments for many of the releases available through Ektoplazm, and I really appreciate this gesture to the worldwide community. He has drawn on material from several releases including Positive Reaction, Warriors Of The Sun (Part 3), 60 Full Moons, State Of Spirit, Golden Vibes 1, and Cosmo Circle’s album Never Land. The second track into the mix is actually one of Psyentifica’s own compositions. Entitled Singularity, it is scheduled for release on an upcoming compilation from Infinity Loop Music. Be sure to drop by his Myspace profile and leave a nice word if you appreciate the spirit in which this mix was made!

The fifth and final release from Metapsychic Records is the debut album of Mindsphere (Ali Akgün) from Istanbul, Turkey.
