Ektoplazm is proud to present Organic Circuitry, our first official compilation release. Compiled by DJ Basilisk, Organic Circuitry features an eclectic assortment of songs contributed by friends and allies around the world, many of whom have already appeared in the free music section of the Ektoplazm web site. Conceived as a celebration of the vibrant diversity of the global psychedelic trance underground, Organic Circuitry features an exotic blend of new school Goa trance, fat and funky full-on, pumping progressive, and deeply enchanting downtempo. Although differing in their approach, the songs of Organic Circuitry are united in their common emphasis on the power of melody to convey ideas and emotions. Every track shimmers with colour and light–fantastic stories waiting to be told. To ensure a professional level of quality, Organic Circuitry has been mastered by Colin Bennun @ the Stooodio, Bristol, UK, and features cover artwork by Paul Zulauf.

“a free compilation to rival the quality standards of a commercial release. We did things a bit differently, however: the focus turned to music which is sometimes under-appreciated by the existing commercial label apparatus. Since they’ve been spooked by the phantasm of file-sharing and seen their sales figures plummet, many labels have become extremely risk-averse. We’re the complete opposite–we’ve got just about nothing to lose! :) And so, care was taken to choose quality songs that express something different and non-standard; something a little more free–in both senses of the word!”

This is another awesome release with great artists and awesome new tracks. I’m definately going to be spinning lots of these! Thank you Xander, for giving us yet another unbelievable effort from Ektoplazm!
Ignoring the fact I have a track on here, I’d say this thing is solid all the way through. Good flow and atmosphere and some nice funky basslines to boot.

I’m really enjoying this album, thank you for it! I especially enjoy the artwork. A psychedelic nod for such imagery!
I have one thing to say about the Filteria track: WOOT!!. It sounds much more rocking than his other work. Much closer to the Etnica style I adore. Not that he’s supposed to be an Etnica/Pleiadians clone like everybody was shouting but you know. The sound isn’t ‘trying so hard’ here, I really like that. Hope his 3rd album is mostly this way ;D

Truly The One Of The Best Comps On Ekotplazm Ever. I Say One Of, Best It’s Toss Out Of This And Pyramidal Trancendence As My All Time Favourite Albums. I Had Rogue Hands And Feet Going All The Through. Couldn’t Stop Wanting To Dance TO This. Basilisk Compiled This With Perfection. It’s Start Of Pretty Dark, But Bouncey
And Gets Euphoric By The Time It Hits Evsy “Fennomaniac’s Delight” And Peaks At Intriga “Lost Cause”
Then The Phobosphere A.K.A Phobium “Intersection 2060″ Is A Downtempo Masterpiece

It’s a very nice cd, sometimes i use it when i’m playing into a locale club in Belgium. And i must say the the most people go crazy when i play this music.
