Fools Forest

Journal | April 18, 2009 | Updated: November 2, 2009 | Posted by Basilisk

Trimada - FOFOX004

Fools Forest is an eclectic netlabel based in Stockholm, Sweden. They release everything from dark ambient and IDM to industrial, techno, and drum ‘n bass. Aside from having a gorgeous web site and a strong social media presence, they’ve also released a bunch of music by Tarek Mansur–better known as Trimada to techtrance aficionados. Last year Trimada came out with a devastating full-length release: Left Behind. If you’ve been looking for more like it be sure to check out FOFOX004, which is certainly a little more on the industrial side of thing (menacing vocals and all), but it still kicks ass. “So Young Why Die” is some of the most evil techtrance I’ve ever heard! I wouldn’t stop there either–check out the rest of the Fools Forest discography, particularly FOFOX003 and FOFOV003. Now that’s some head-cracking goodness!
