Elysium (Kristian Thinning Andersen) is one of a handful of old school producers whose pioneering productions defined the tribal aesthetic of Goa trance. Live Versions is a special digital-only release featuring reworked classics from Dance For The Celestial Beings (1995), Master Of The Rainforest (1995), Celestial Sounds & Tribal Beats (1997), and Regenerated (2002). Clocking in at a steady 140 BPM, Elysium’s music swirls and pulsates with archaic energy and unique tribal atmospheres. Listeners will be transported to an ancient realm of archetypes and spirits as these hypnotic gems unfold and work their magic. Artwork by Basilisk featuring photos retouched by ralphrepo.

These tracks are phenomenal. Wow. “Subconsiousness” in particular grabs me by the boys; the track illustrates perfectly how minimal does not preclude psychedelia (or beauty). Stellar! Really looking forward to the new album.

I couldn’t resist to share there my enthusiasm about this stunning release. What can I say? Huge thanks for this great lesson of music! This is not simply a good album: here we have high quality refreshed material of original versions of 90′s/early 00′ hits and the result of an accumulated of 15-20 years of experience in music production. Thanks God who illuminated Elysium’s inspiration and I wished more pionneers would follow his vision of the music in the past decade: he utilizes modern vibrating beats and accoustic effects, technically and emotionally, this is pure blessing ; and the best thing: he still keeps and emphasizes the first (main) ideas of the original versions and add much more creativity in the buildings. So It is rare, but worth to mentioned : IMO some of the live versions there, if not matches, beats the original tracks:”Interpretation of Dreams”! “Dust”!total hypnotic experiences! 2009 versions of “Trancelestial Psychobabas” and “Keep it cool” are mindblowing. You still prove why you were and are the master of tribal trance.
I heard rumors about a “Dance for the Celestial Beings Part II”. I hope it will follow the same path with the “Live Versions” and I predict you a huge success.
And a last thing: you can count me among the fans that are very grateful you give this release for free!
