Electrocado was created in April 2009 by Mr. Bill and Ryanosaurus, two Australian producers interested in combining many different flavours and textures of electronic dance music to create something fresh. They took generous amounts of psytrance, electro, glitch, minimal, and progressive, chucked some avocado on top, and grilled it till it was steamin’ hot and crunchy. The Hass Effect, their debut album, represents the fruits of their labour: an eclectic mish-mash of styles that will have your musical taste buds tingling with delight. Mastering by Fahad Abdulaal with artwork by Funazza.

Uroboros Records presents Strange Equation, the debut release by Neuromodulation (Kirk Taylor), a dark progressive psytrance project from Brisbane, Australia. With no formal audio training what you hear is raw, undisciplined talent shaped by a dedication to exploring the murky sonic territory between progressive and night music. Already his tracks have been well-received globally with plenty of feedback and support from Glitchy.Tonic.Records and Another Psyde Records just to name a few. Here we find three new dance floor killers to blast through the night. Mastered by Andreh Torres with artwork by Bruno Azalim.

This also proves that psytrance DJs need not go elsewhere to build a complete set ready for the dance floor. Beginning in a very light and gentle way and ending in a bang with dark progressive psytrance, this is a journey that touches on many of the progressive acts releasing free music today. Hopefully this will introduce you to at least a few new artists you may have overlooked.

Sheyba – Trance Africa Express Remixes

Free Music | June 29, 2011 | Released by  | Posted by Basilisk

Sheyba – Trance Africa Express Remixes
01 - Trance Africa Express (Disco Hooligans Remix) (142 BPM)
02 - Trance Africa Express (Elysium's Back To The Roots Remix) (140 BPM)

Sheyba was originally a joint project formed by Danish trance pioneers Orion (Jean Borelli) and Elysium (Kristian Thinning). Trance Africa Express was originally released on First Flight, a massive early success for the legendary UK imprint Flying Rhino Records. All around the world it became one of the most played tracks in 1996/1997 with several top chart placements on national radio stations, music magazines, and DJ top tens. Sheyba launched a remix contest in February 2010 that was later won by Disco Hooligans from Greece, an act already known for two stellar albums released on Ektoplazm. Regrettably, the release was delayed for some time, but it is finally here. Enjoy the great energetic remix by Disco Hooligans alongside a deep tribal remix from Elysium. Mastering by Nectarios Hooligan at Martian Masters.

Dear Psy-Trance, You Are Not Safe

Free Music | June 28, 2011 | Posted by Basilisk

Dear Psy-Trance, You Are Not Safe
01 - Phaging The Infected - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef2nz7kwQqQ
02 - Jacqueline The Ripoff - Boys Are The Ones That Love Girls That Love Dj's
03 - Testicle Crisis - 178 Bees Per Minute
04 - Spiritual Van Halen - Fund Business
05 - Jesus Christ - Turning Water Into Pepsi (And Pepsi Into Money)
06 - Shpungl - Shpungl Shpungl Shpungl

It is time to slay some sacred cows with Dear Psy-Trance, You Are Not Safe, a mysterious release by an artist who wishes to remain anonymous. Taking aim at several “heroes” of the psytrance world (including Infected Mushroom, Michele Adamson, Simon Posford, and Skazi), this provocative and experimental album sizzles and crackles with madcap beats, twisted sound design, and satirical sample manipulations, all delivered at a frantic pace that may leave some listeners confused and bewildered. Unsurprisingly, this is not an album that takes itself seriously; it is clearly designed to get a rise out of some people and bemuse others. A word or two from the liner notes: “A very special thanks to the infiltration of capitalism into the world of psychedelic trance. Money is the first thing you find useless when you are in a true psychedelic state, then ego… then pants.”
