Blast From The Past is a very special gift to all the fans of the legendary Russian psytrance band Dissociactive. This release is a collection of previously unreleased tracks written during 2003-2005 by Jorik (who now releases music as Sorrowmurk) and Slava (who continues to run the Dissociactive project), and were thought to have been lost forever after an epic hard drive failure. However, in a stroke of luck, the original files were recently discovered on a friend’s computer and are now re-mastered and presented to you as this free release on Sun Station Records. PsR Reincarnation represents a comeback for PsyRussia, one of the first psytrance netlabels on the scene to widely distribute free promos, mixes, and tracks. The release of The Origin on Sun Station Records marks the return of Sorrowmurk, the solo project of Evgeniy Martynov, who is certainly not a newcomer to the music scene. In the past, he was a member of the popular Russian reggae-dub band Dub-TV, as well as the famous psytrance project Dissociactive, where, together with Slava Iskanyan, they released the highly acclaimed album Blockout on Acidance Records. After this, Jorik decided to take a break to gather new inspiration and now he is back with fresh ideas, a deep knowledge of production techniques, and unlimited passion for creating cutting-edge psychedelic trance music. This release is mastered by Slava Dissociactive and features artwork by Rolando Cyril.
