Summer is all but gone and I’m in school again. I can’t say it has really held me up in terms of exploring new music, however–though my interest has, as in previous months, been almost overwhelmingly focused on the new techno fusion. Some days I wonder if I’m ever going to get back into psytrance the way I once was–but I know myself well enough to understand that I go through phases. I’ll be interested in psytrance again sometime, but for now… techno has me passionate about electronic dance music–and that’s important. I can’t be investing so much of myself into DJing without feeling that rush of energy that comes from experiencing music that I really connect to, on the dance floor as well as behind the decks!

So here you have it–a set of 20 tunes that have been circulating on my stereo this month. As with the previous “progressive” charts I’ve published this summer it’s a mix of straight-up techno, progressive house, deep progressive psytrance, and a lot of stuff in between. Some old, some new, all wicked.
