Excellent music. I still gravitate towards the old stuff constantly. I remember first finding this music at an old used record store called Recordland in Calgary, Alberta. At that time nobody I knew understood electronic music.(most still don't) They just saw it as some techno stuff, but we know more. We are enlightened souls thirsting for stories and we know where to find the best music. Once I discovered the Goa sound there was no turning back.
This web site is the most beautiful in the world. You and the contributors have it so right. A heart-felt thank you to all that make it come together!

Hey, love this site. I am in Australia and grew up on the Christchurch New Zealand rave scene. Definitly nice to see Behind the Eye Vol 1 here. What a great album. Set the tone for ancient moods in modern music I feel. And Order Odinata with LSD,...what a breakthrough. Still sounds amazing. Top job! :)

ok, so not sure about this one, given the scope of your project (releases), but it seems worth noting the oakenfold goa essential mix of '94. not a "release" really, but a massive introduction of psy to a larger audience.

i know the psy community can shun "mainstream", but oakenfold did a solid for psy...broadening its appeal way early on--way before he started remixing brittany murphy (sigh, and tear).

Juno Reactor singles like Laughing Gas and High Energy Protons are covered by the inclusion of Transmissions. I added Sundown, however--it wasn't included anywhere else. I also added a bunch of other oldies like Behind The Eye 1, Ritual Of Life, and Organised Noise.

I would like to highly suggest: Mystic force-Frontier. Which is a very good acid trance release, which in particular was first released on psy-harmonics which is now a very good psy (and before that goa) label. Certainly deserves a place if the brown album is here.

The most essential relase of them all is missing. The one that set the bar for all the rest to come. The Overlords "Sundown"
