Golden Vibes 2 is the second homemade compilation from the Old is Gold (OiG) crew, a group of Goa trance fans keen on preserving the spirit and energy of classic Goa trance. The scope of this release is impressive, collecting nearly three hours of music spread across two virtual discs. The Wonderboy has compiled material in a variety of old school styles from a respectable list of promising new artists as well as established veterans. Filteria, Jikooha, The Muses Rapt, Ka-Sol, and SynSUN already have many commercial releases on the market, while Subra, Vox, Goasia, and AFGIN have been gaining ground with listeners online. This is a sure bet for any old school fans out there; Golden Vibes 2 promises to be one of the biggest free releases yet!

OiG take pride in their amateur approach; none of these tracks have been properly mastered, and they seem to prefer it that way. This is not likely to concern most old school listeners, many of whom value creative content far more than production value. Golden Vibes 2 is available in VBR MP3; there is no lossless version available. Subra (Michael Anenburg) has made his track available in lossless FLAC format on his website at least. What I like about this release is that it doesn’t focus on one particular style of the “old school” era. I was extremely happy to hear darker and edgier trance, as well as very pronounced 303s in some tracks. As much as I like Astral Projection I haven’t heard much of it in the olden days so the nostalgia factor is severed on the likes of myself while hearing the tracks of today inspired by them. I only learned of AP from collecting old releases in the past few years. But a release like this gives a real immersion of what acid and psychedelic trance were like back in the days. Good stuff. Thanks.

Whell the disck Golden Vibes II is great i have no words to describe it its very i dont know PHENOMENON:)) ecpecialy the ka-sol’s track Stainless Recreation i love it and Goasia-Never Again and a Croatian Artist VOX-Solar Wind,SynSun-Gagarinz Trip,SynSun-Space Sirens,and Apis 1995 and Edya-OiG:))))thous are my favorite trax in golden Vibes II its awesome pure Goa trance and i thing that every Goa lover can in joy in the GREAT SOUNDS OF THE OLD IS GOLD:)))
It will be peaty if u dont listen to golden vibes II the CD1 and CD 2:))))
