I remember hearing about swamp blues and I got excited because it sounded really good. I was disappointed. So I was dubious when I started listening to this, hoping I wouldn’t be similarly disappointed.
I wasn’t! This is incredible swamp music. Brings the bog right to my ears! Love it. What swamps should be all about!

Next time you don’t need to master it quite so hard, though, I would rather the edges be rounded than square.

Thanks for the feedback regarding the mastering. I totally understand the point you raise and somehow agree with you, but unfortunately we have to make some compromises these days and make things a little louder than we usually like.
Keep in mind that none of the Biijah Records releases are crushed to oblivion like most other stuff that’s being released in the last years. It is loud of course and I won’t deny it, but we managed to retain as much dynamic range we could.
Hopefully in the future more people will have your attitude and become aware of the fact that “louder” doesn’t mean “greater”.
