Malachyte (Paavo Stubstad) is a project focused on fusing the spiritual elements of Goa trance, the haunting sound of forest music, and the uplifting beat of psytrance, all with a melodic emphasis. Protostar EP, released in cooperation with Underground Alien Factory Records, features four songs written between 2007 and 2009. Each track displays a different focus, spiralling through the creative influences that have inspired this project. Mastered by breto@psyks.com with cover art by Earthdragon.

Nice tracksand a creative blend of different styles. Not the usual stuff! I especially like the 2nd track, that is moving and laid-back at the same time and has some nice melodies.

Interesting release.
It’s great to hear to something different and fresh. I would tag it as “Classic Trance” rather then Goa, because there’s a different approach here which is suits more the early Trance tunes in “Twisted Forest” and “Protostar”.
“Canopy Of Sound” sounds like something which came from the 80’s. Maybe a Loader of an old C64 computer (Force, Ikari, Yeti, Puma, Beastie Boys… you name it)
As for “Toad” – this one doesn’t worth a release (for my opinion)
PS: You forgot to add a shorcut to Ektoplasm page in the WAV folder (dunno about the other two)

AWESOME! Each track is magnificent! If I had to choose a favorite it would be twisted forest. Such a warm feeling! This whole EP is just what I look for in psy/goa trance. Great job man! I look forward to hearing more. =D
