Time Passes At Various Speeds is the first release from American midwest glitch producer Mumukshu (Jacob Penn). Inspired by the combination of broken beat and psytrance, Mumukshu delivers emotive melodies over ripping formant bass lines sure to make a dance floor groove. With releases on labels such as Merkaba Music and Enig’matik Records, Mumukshu is quickly making a name for himself in the international glitch community. Mastered by Dennis Bunton @ IonDriver Studios, U.S., with artwork by Matik Designs.

While I entertain the idea of timelessness, I enjoy how you play with the passing of it!
Very good! Quite a rare attempt to define a new style between glitch and bass music!
Having trouble downloading different albums to my Windows 10…. Would love for this to work. Thanks.
DIGESTION SEEMS TO BE WHIMSICALLY UNDERWAY in the first track: Transformative Adventures. I enjoyed imagining my self as a convoy of veggie deli items passing down the esophagus, into the stomach, and only semi-daunted by the anatomical twists and turns, digestive fluids, and other morsels undergoing digestive assimilation—ultimately passing through the bowels and beyond.
Hmmm—what a soundtrack for being merrily conveyed downstream from our food’s perspective. We can reflect on how and why our FOOD TRAVELS THROUGH US AT VARIOUS SPEEDS TOO.
SUMMARY: This and other of these tracks suggest an INTRA-HUMAN sub-genre—one where we are not head or out of body tripping—but rather one within which we remain physio-empathically grounded and attuned to WHAT could be going on after any breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Happy eating everybody!
