02 - Trip Of The Luna King (9:06)
The Trip Of The Luna King EP is the initial offering from New Born (Tom Rarin), a new artist with an uncommon style that melds the hypnotizing characteristics of pulsating minimal psytrance with the cosmic feel of old school Goa trance. Inspired by artists such as Cosma, Atmos, Simon Posford, and Pink Floyd, the two tracks on this debut promotional release are deeply ethereal and sublimely entrancing. Each song sets a contemplative mood, slowly and steadily growing as the minutes pass. The results are uncommonly genuine–New Born has really captured a special feeling that is not usually heard from today’s commercial offerings.

I liked the first track a lot for it’s minimal, hypnotic sound.
5/5! First track 6/5, second track 4/5.
We need more trance like this so people can really appreciate the subtleties of getting into the trance groove again… Trip of the luna king is a beautiful melodic journey that you can really get into.

awesome sound…. i need more..!
First track had more of a hypnotique style to it, with hard bass overtop of a funky melody, slowly building up over the course of the song. repetativeness is big in this track. Now Trip of the luna king, my personal fave off this album, starts off with a melody building up, then hard bass jumping in around the 1:35 mark. Things get pretty psychadelic, with a slow whining echoing back melody, funky beats thrown overtop, with the hard bass in the background. The layers of sound get all mixed up. Lot’s of echoing, psychadelic, far out there sounds.
This album has a great quality sound to it, and the songs are upbeat, and will get you pumped, or dancing. Track 1 has more emphasis on the bass, with a more slow variation to the psychadelic sounds. Track 2 has more emphasis on the crazy sounds which seem to be coming from everywhere around you, especially near the end.
Great GOA, but why not some more tracks per CD?
This is not only music, this is magic!

Pretty trippy melodies that hark back to old school Goa days. Luna King blew me away with that creepy melody that fades in and out while the basslines alternate between tight and punchy to fat and boomy with all its layers of sounds. Very Impressive work!
