Reflection is the audio image of Gibb Tartaris of Canberra, Australia. His debut album, Box Of Chocolates, is the first progressive psytrance release from Fish ‘n Trips Records. Expect a heady dose of chunky grooves, riff-based melodies, and slick effects all presented with high production value and heaps of musicianship. This is a sound that will immediately captivate listeners, inspire dance moves, and tickle the mind. Reflection’s offering an interesting addition to the label, bringing some classic rock ‘n roll credence to a well-established style. Mastering by Ryan Whare (Ryanosaurus) with artwork by Adam Ray.

Yep, lots of tasty chocolate in there! I like chocolate swirls, swamps, and liquid!! Excellent concept, sounds, and album.
This is a great release!
Due to the volume of music I run through I’m pretty selective about what music I ultimately keep: most every release I get goes through a pretty harsh first pass and only perhaps one or two songs make the cut to be reviewed later for keeping. Right now I’m only halfway through the album and I have yet to listen to a tune that I didn’t appreciate. That’s a hit rate that I usually only see with guys like Musik Magier and oCeLoT.
Keep up the good stuff!
I got this off Bandcamp a few months back, and it is stellar. I listen to it all the time and share it with friends. This is an amazing album!!!!
Five stars ! Big like !
awesome tracks. so deep!!!
Awesome Canberran gruvz. 5 freakin stars. Are you playing in Melbourne sometime?
@ ian
Should be in playing in melbourne sometime next year if promoters book me :)
yo should at least try to make better album art, that one is horrible.
@ los piimos
the whole idea of this album is a joke. an album about chocolate with a crummy cover dont matter, its the music that counts. I didnt even expect my joke of an album to even reach ektoplazm hahaha people like it though ;)
Yeahhhh!!!
Tracks 1-3 are perfect! Nice dark, groovy progressive, the entire album is solid!
sweet, rich and Moorish.like forest said; life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get; but it’s all very pleasant.very danceable.cheers.
Amazing album, congrats bro!!! Chocolate for dark! o/
korrrekt.. das grovvt wie Sau!
this album rules and dude I love the cover. 5/5
I mean there a lot of trance covers out there with the same basic symmetrical patterns and photoshopped washes of color but this one really made me think about existence haha
I like to make jokes in music :) makes it stand out more
It’s the chocolate void.
This cd changed my way to listen to music….
I was taking a bath and listening to it (who is reading this?) and i couldn’t understand how the piano was being played so simple and yet so disturbing (in a good way).
So perfect! From this cd i learnd the magic of prog dark.
