Voice Of Sauron is the third release from Ultiva Records, an experimental netlabel devoted to extreme psychedelic sounds. Their latest onslaught of twisted frequencies and aggressive beats is mastered by Jesus Raves and compiled by Misha and Kanibal Holokaust. Inspired by the Lord of the Rings trilogy, these tunes are sure to deal out deadly dance floor destruction. Voice Of Sauron is available in high-quality MP3 as well as lossless WAV format.

(MP3 Download / Lossless Download / Web Link) :: Download count: 5,361.

As a bonus, the lossless WAV version of Ultiva’s previous compilation Goblins Gathering is now available as well. Enjoy!

i am very sorry.

very fast beats at the end, very dark and evil..
i define this as instrumental masturbation… (sorry)
mostly sounds.. no music.. i really dont know what to say to make my comment a little better..
very evil.. im scared.. this CD is very good depends on who is listening and what kind of music he’s looking for.
and im obviously not into this. :(

Dark Psy isn’t for everyone… but it sure as hell is for me! “Blew” my mind! My brain feels mushy, but in a good way! I found myself banging my head through each song. Very Very Nice, indeed. Oh and, more bass! Jus a tad more :)

This compilation is just shy of perfectly evil. And that’s a good thing.
Perfectly evil would be some aural assblasting like the latest HellFish or Neophyte production.

No, this CD is a good little expedition into the “warmer” side of psytrance. If I could sum this up in two words, it’d have to involve whatever the hellish counterpoint of something Astral, and the opposite of the word “projection”. A Demonic Injection? Yes… This collection is an aural onslaught that is akin to what it must be and feel like to be a heroin junky at (or after) the Judgement.

The foray begins with that Wizack track which opens with a nice synth and vox sample, which opens it all up for a nice high-speed bass. From this point on, the mood gets darker and darker until the Aremakki track… which, for the love of god, confuses the hell out of me. It’s dark, but it’s not. Guh? Anyhow, as the CD progresses, so does the feeling like you’re passing though the different levels of hell, according to Dante.

For lack of hearing similar compilations, i’d be prone to give this a 10. However, because of tone and subject, I’d have to give this an 8.5 as it really isn’t for everyone. And when i say that, i mean those that prefer the more happy side of psy produced by GMS, Bamboo Forest and the like. But in all seriousness, sometimes you need the angry and evil, to realize how good everything else is.

To all producers in these dark psy comp i would like to say: Congratulations, your style is great!.. but… please leave room for some more
atmospherics, ambient and less nonsense noise, I think it would be much more musical!!— it seems too abstract for me,
like throbbing gristle or merzbow with 150+
beats!

Dark and full of new and intense sounds each fitting in with the whole vibe of the cd, not my style but I can definately tell some carefull considerations were taken when creating this VA. while it might not be for everyone, some experimental yet complex creative elements and a driving force of sound is surely a worthwhile download/listen, it might even grow on you as darker psy has started to grow on me.

hi is very fast!!!<<<<

Yes indeed, it’s pretty evident that the compiler spent some time arranging the tracks to ease the listener into the “madness”. I think out of all these dark psy comps that I heard this is the first one that goes to such speeds (and only in the second half). The previous compilation from Ultiva was atmospheric and less intense.

I very much like this one. The energy is peaking through the roof. Like most of trance that works around the release of energy these fast tunes work well in conjunction with the less fast tracks that there is an assortment of in other compilations. So it’s a good variety, I find.

Thanks.

I really like this album A LOT, but along with some of the other stuff I’ve heard from Ultiva Records, it relies a little too heavily on mid-range and treble, and lacks just a smidgen of bass. The basslines are usually fantastic, but if they could be a little louder, a little richer, then this would be solid gold material!!

don’t get me wrong, i love mid-range and treble, but I like listening to this stuff really loud, and when i do (especially on headphones), I really don’t want my ears or nose to bleed from the frequency! (Which I did get a nosebleed during the “Goblins Gatherings” compilation, but that could be entirely coincidental…)

but i still really like this compilation, and will still be jamming out to it every now and then :)
