Psytracks: A Platform for Unsigned Artists

Psygarden has recently announced the launch of a parallel site intended to compliment their efforts at building a community space for visual artists. Psytracks.com, their new venture, is conceived as a home for unsigned artists to create a profile, share their music, and interact with fans and other artists The software in use is Jamroom, a neat little application that provides music charts and other fine features to help listeners discover fresh tunes. Although MySpace has become the standard for unsigned artists wishing to promote their work, Psytracks provides an underground alternative that is sure to blossom in the coming months. Sign up now during the beta phase to obtain 250Mb of space to work with! Once the site begins normal operations, the free account granted to new users will provide for 100Mb. This seems like a good initiative, so if there are any independent artists out there seeing a psychedelic community to join, visit Psytracks.com and see what it’s all about!

Nothing gets passed your all-seeing eyes now does it? :)
Thanks a lot for this post, While the site is still in a beta phase and still needs a lot of work it’s 99% functional already! I’m very curious about seeing how popular this service is going to become… the song quality should be an important factor…
we deliver streaming 320kbps mp3 file if the artist uploads the files in this format :)
Nice to see the incoming links from your site!
Kind regards,
Rik
Just wanted to confirm that Psytracks.com an excellent site and forum. I joined with my Q.P.A. project in the beginning of 2008. By now, 1′st of June 2008, the page statistics show a total of 964 visits on my profile. Of the 250mb disk space I’m allowed to use I still have 146mb left. Rik (webmaster/founder) is also working on a compilation CD releasing the tracks from the site, based on the charts and quality of production. The quality of songs posted is generally very high so I must work hard with my songs to qualify for the Psytracks.com CD :-)
Definitely a place worth checking out for both aspiring and established psytrance producers alike.
another site is http://www.mycoolband.com its all new, so not that many artists yet, does not use jamroom.
Looks like Psytracks is no more?
