Antiscarp Records is one of the longest running Finnish netlabels as well as a strong voice on the experimental fringe of weird and psychedelic dance music. Founded in 2001, the Antiscarp discography contains dozens of free releases in MP3 format, all of which are distributed direct from their web site. Their line-up includes artists such as Tres Lost Amigos, Igor Swamp, Oikeusjyvä, Mullet Mohawk, Kirna, La Calamar, and (of course) the Antiscarp Warriors. With an iconoclastic disregard for conventional limits, Antiscarp continues to regularly release music “provided for all freakadelic listeners worldwide.” In a sign of their growing influence, they have recently launched a CD compilation by the name of Speaker Grease, which features more quality suomi-style beats from top Finnish producers.
