El Zisco – Brave EP
01 :: Brave (5:59)
02 :: Follow Me (6:30)

El Zisco’s Brave EP is a digital single recently released on the German label Liquid Crystal Music. The artist behind this work is Francisco Oryarce Zavala, a Chilean producer who has resided in Germany for many years now. Since his 2005 debut on Dance N Dust, El Zisco has been developing his sound—an appealing blend of slick progressive grooves and upbeat atmospheres compatible with the music of Decoy, Gaudium, FREq, and Sensifeel.

Brave features a fat and chunky groove wrapped in tightly coiled synthetic sweeps and light chord strikes. Several melodic themes punctuate the flow, culminating in a sly lead similar to that of Gaudium’s Phunky People. Solid work.

Follow Me takes about a minute to build steam after opening with a tough beat and sharp hi-hats. The entrance of the loping bass line ushers in a new phase of progressive building—crafty atmospheric sounds breeze by, sneaky melodic hints surge from the depths, and the track gradually begins to fill with distinctive elements. Every new minute seems to bring a delightful surprise, as scintillating leads establish a beautiful morning-time vibe. Exceptional!

I wholeheartedly recommend that progressive fans and DJs check out this obscure digital single. El Zisco provides a pair of distinct tunes with fat grooves, strong melodic themes, and solid production value—an ideal recipe for sunny moments on the festival dance floor. The Brave EP is available for purchase from the Liquid Crystal Music web shop.
