Encephalopaticys is the project of Vasko Velickovski. The name of the project sound mysterious, but that is how his music really is. He started Djing in 2001and after few years and more time spent with psychedelic music, he started to experiment with the psychedelic sounds.
The project Encephalopaticys is born 2003. It’s hard to find the right words to describe his music, some will say it’s powerful night trance, I’ll say its sound that came from one identity of one person, one mind – simply Encephalopaticys. In this project Vasko works on very powerful dark sound, with deep bass line, followed by psychedelic sounds and forest atmospheres, inspired by the high hills and surrounding spirits. “If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.”

Mubali is Greg Farley, from Monterey, California. He has been writing his own music since 2003. He comes from a background of classical music (violist for 7 years) and currently makes all of his music just for fun. His tracks tend to be on the darker side of full on, and his influences are Azax Syndrom, Xenomorph, Grapes of Wrath, Absolum, Twisted System, and Digital Talk.

Jay is an electronic music producer from the south (wild) Black-Forest in Germany. Together with his friend Ralph (Braincell/Solar Spectrum) started the psychedelic trance project Rastaliens more than 10 years ago. Over the years of playing in clubs and festivals worldwide, Rastaliens became well known by many people for psytrance with a funny unique style. Southwild is the new project from Jay which could be named as a kind of funky morning psy, but generally you will not be able to put it in a “style” box. It’s music to have fun and make the body shake.

Ekoplex is Ray Vincent, a multifaceted psychedelic trance producer from Toronto, Canada. Shaking off all monikers and labels, moving into the future of new music, new earth new culture, Entheos embraces the many faceted mode of celebration, ritual, education and community. We are a grassroots electronic music festival with an incredible Vision, to bring not only the party to earth, but also the skills and the wisdom to make this culture sustainable. We bring you 3 dedicated dance music stages, offering a wide variety of musical styles, a full Conference offering workshops for body mind and spirit, a kids zone, a vending village, a food zone and much much more. Have a look around the site to see exactly what we are bringing to you this year.

This year’s Entheos festival has focused on cohesion as its goal. As a team we have been challenged to make this happen as a collective, to all have an equal say in how this gathering turns out. We all make this festival happen by volunteering, but the vision goes far beyond the grassroots. Our aim is to gain momentum to bring this vision to a wider audience. This year’s location gives us room to grow. The growth in our production, our crew and our vision have presented hurdles and leaps of faith, but it has led us solidly to the Nahatlach Valley, up the legendary fraser canyon, through sacred pathways to an expansive mountain field. Aerodrömme, a vibrant fresh Canadian act, was created by Boris “Shankar” Kurtzman and Steve Chan. The two members share strong passion for music. Steve Chan comes from a Hard-Trance/Full On Psy world, with his experimental project Nexus 7; while Boris Shankar arrives from a Progressive/Techno scene as a successful DJ for Tribal Vision Records. With releases on Tribal Vision Records, Spiral Trax, Plusquam Division, Blue Tunes, and Balkan Connection, Aerodrömme has emerged as one of the most promising names in the Progressive Techno circuit. Their style is an effective blend of progressive house and minimal techno with a hint of electro, all tuned and tweaked for maximum dance floor response. Oleg Slepak and Shay Raban ( aka DJ Earthian) are Animaltek, Producer/DJ duo from NYC, that explores the wide range of sound and rhythmic possibilities for dance floor theory and practice. Hitting to the center of the heat in the early fall of 2007 with a debut EP ‘Karmik loops’ on WIR, both sides of the which on numerous occasions reached air play from some of the World’s Top DJ’s such as John Digweed, Sasha, Satoshi Tomie, Anthony Pappa, among others, Shay and Oleg followed with a few strong releases in 2008 on both Cologne legends like Treibstoff and WIR and Canadian Thoughtless music, to a massive rave reviews from DE:BUG, the french TSUGI and ‘Progressive-Sounds’, and appearing in the charts of Mathias Schafhauser and DJ Hell and other well known DJ’s. After a recent bombarding of live performances in London, Leipzig and at the Treibstoff’s 11th year anniversary party in Cologne’s infamous club Odonien, where the stage was shared with Masters of techno like Gabriel Ananda, Robert Babicz, Italoboyz and Marcel Janovsky, those American wonder tweakers made a serious buzz among party goers and music analyzers, representing the underground New York sound and vibe.

ILL GATES: ill.gates is a well-known producer from Toronto Canada. His previous productions as ‘The Phat Conductor’ and co-productions with Robb G have made waves in the Electro House and Breakbeat genres, as has his work with Bassnectar in the growing crunky midtempo breaks genres. Past production work includes remixing the likes of DJ Dan, Myagi and Si Begg and has led to top selling tracks on Beatport and also a mention in URB as one of their ‘next 100′ top artists. His versatility is evident in his broad array of collaborations with reknowned producers like Robb G, Bassnectar, Meesha, Little John, Friction, Malaya, Stephane Vera and Canadian Hip Hop vocalist Masia One. ‘Autopirate’, covers a broad range of genres and confirms ‘ill.gates’ production values.

BASILISK: One of Toronto’s most dedicated DJs, founder of the Ektoplazm free music portal and netlabel group, purveyor of gourmet psychedelic and techno music, recently co-founded the group Drumlore, a new collective dedicated to shaking up the scene by unearthing fresh sounds from the underground.

GABOR: Another of our Toronto favourites, Gabor (aka Spazzmonk) plays a diverse blend of awesome music, ranging from dub n breaks to sweet-ass techno. Gabor has been involved with the Suma/OM festival crew for many events and recently was heard rockin rooms at the Burning Man Decompression, and Dream Scape parties.

dBOOM: A noted and oft named bass whore, known for whoring his bass up and down and all around. Co-founder of the Kismet Collective and ARCHITEXTURES resident, Davey never leaves home without bringing the boom.

SLAVA D: This man has been organizing jams for Toronto’s Psychedelic and Techno crowds for nearly 5 years, and has been producing music almost as long. This year he founded the Pocket Monkeys cru, and has been expertly reinventing and constantly re-working his own sound. His beats are tight and his music is intricately woven from 100% home-grown samples and original material.

T-MINUS: With a passion for great sound, T has been sampling Toronto’s underground for while, gradually expanding his musical repertoire. After co-founding the Pocket Monkeys in January 2009, he has been a resident DJ at the Pocket Monkeys parties and at ARCHITEXTURES, host of the wild events at Magnetawan, and was featured this summer at the Harvest Festival and the Burning-Man Regional 3-day Festival. BASSgators is his most recent endeavour. Expect solid bass and maybe a few surprises.

FUMI (YogiBogeyBox, NYC/Japan) *DJ Set*
Fumi is a Producer/DJ based in Brooklyn NY. Born in Japan in 1979, he has traveled the world extensively and lived in countries such as Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, and the United States today. While living in Bombay India, between 1996-1998, he was kidnapped to Goa by his high school friend for the first time not knowing what to expect. This turned out to be a life changing experience. After living in India as high school student, he gradually started to get infected by Psychedelic Trance, and soon purchased his first turntables. He has since performed on the same stage with many internationally known artists such as Transdriver, Penta, Jelly Headz, Parus, Ajja, Onkel Donkel, Wizak Twizack, Melorix, Muktisvara, Progress, Ocelot, Cosmosis, Hux Flux, Kox Box, Infected Mushroom and Kiriyama to name few.

The style of Music he plays is mostly night time psychedelic trance music, although wide range, not just dark or full-on, but pure psychedelic with powerful, pounding, pumping, mind twisting trippy stories with craze, psyche, fun and bit of punk and humor.

EKOPLEX (Ektoplazm, Toronto) *Live Set*
Ekoplex is Ray Vincent, a multifaceted psychedelic trance producer from Toronto, Canada. With an arsenal of heavy rolling beats for the dead of night, ethereal offerings for sunrise, and slower grooves for afternoon or early evening, Ekoplex is comfortable performing at any time. Over the years, Ekoplex has developed a visually engaging live setup that features a MIDI-controlled guitar and keyboard combination, thus ensuring that every performance is unique. Ekoplex has been thrilling dance floors across North America for more than half a decade, playing at many major festivals and indoor events. Some highlights include the Eclipse Festival in 2006 and 2008, Gaian Mind in 2008, Harvest 2008, and the Soma 2008 New Year’s event.

In early 2007, Ekoplex rocketed to the top of the Cytopia sales charts with Castle In The Mountain, a song that combines crunchy techtrance rhythms with glistening melodic highs. Shortly thereafter he made his formal debut with the release of the Enter The Dragon EP on Ektoplazm. This was followed by the massively successful launch of Journey Of The Turtle, Ekoplex’s full-length album, in August of 2008. Ekoplex’s live set will signify the launch of his brand new album! Bill Halsey, the producer behind Cosmosis and Mumbo-Jumbo, is a former professional session guitarist from London who has performed with countless bands, playing Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Pop and Hip-Hip. He has toured throughout Europe, Australasia, and Asia. Bill honed his writing and recording skills while composing and recording pop tracks for over ten years before he began creating pure electronic music. Now he’s as much in demand as a composer as he is for live appearances, sharing his particular brand of tongue-in-cheek, full power Psy-Trance on dancefloors across the globe. During the past 12 years, Bill has played Cosmosis’ music to ecstatic crowds in such diverse locations as Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, Israel, India, Bali, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, United States, Egypt, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, Slovakia, Denmark, England, Spain, Ireland, Canada, Serbia, Scotland, Belgium, Finland, Holland, Greece, South Africa, Russia, France, Mexico and Portugal, and continues to play regularly in many of these countries. We will be joined by Jay for a special NYC Rastaliens DJ set.
Rastalians are Jurgen Kassel and Ralph Knobloch.
Since about 13 years they are DJ´s. After 3 years with dj-ing, Jurgen and Ralph realised, that the records from other people were not enough for them. And look at this, since about 9 years they are producing their own psychedelic trance. Rastalians started in a small cellar with a little soundsystem. At the beginning project just used simple software-synthies and a small sequenzer-programm. Because of their limited possiblities, it was not easy for us to produce a good quality of sound…Hard work and a lot of enthusiasm caused a booking from some friends in Switzerland. They wanted a live-act. Rastalians’ first set, which was played with some quite old synthies, as like Roland 101 and Korg Trident. On a special day, Jurgen and Ralph decided to send our first songs to some differnt labels around the world. Wepacked this CD´s together with all our positive vibrations and what happend: Yaniv, from Hadshot Haheizar released our first two songs. “FREAK BOOSTER” and “UNIDENTIFIED SPECIES”. After playing on many parties around the globe, like Portugal, Netherland, Mexico, Greece, USA, UK,etc. there was time for an album which was released also on Hadshot and more should follow on Boom! Rec.(which released also the 2nd album), Digital Psionics, Ketuh, Glowing Flame, and so on…

DJ Luis Campos, producer and long time trance DJ, born and raised in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil where he started his professional career as a DJ at the very early age of 13. Throughout the years, Luis experimented many different styles of music and developed his identity along the road.
DJ Luis was part of the band Influx since its foundation in 1996, in which he collaborated until 1999 when he decided to come to New York. In 2000, DJ Luis and collaborators founded the Dreamcatcher studios and Psycheground weekly trance party which still happens and is already established as being one of the top party organizations in america
Currently Luis and His old time friend and partner Matyas Kelemen are working on the Reality Engine project which combines music and video creating a completely new dancefloor experience.

Amos Greilsammer, 23, was born in Jerusalem, Israel. Playing drums and other instruments in his childhood, amos allways had the music full-filling his life. He’s been travelling and attending psy-trance parties and festivals over the world for the last 6 years, exploring electronic sounds and the psy-trance movement. After spending one year in Australia in 2006, Amos came back to Israel inspired by the australian psy-trance scene, and started mixing electronic music and producing underground parties and music festivals in Israel.
Amos will bring us fresh unique sounds from the israeli desert, the australian bush, and Goa beachs, to bring us high for a towards a magical night.

Gosha, who was born in Kiev, Ukraine (Soviet Union at that time) became part of the NYC scene shortly after his arrival in 1998 as he got involved in UnderTheBridge afterparties and other Alphatrance events as a promoter/producer. He also began to dj under the alias DJ Indra. Then was Omnitribe, Gaian Mind summer festivals and many others parties and events. Groovy-morning-progressive became Gosha’s favorite type of vibration. Deep chillout and ambient sets where also his specialty.
In a past couple of years Gosha began re(dis)covering connections to his ethnical identity, and as result became very much influenced by world and ethnic music from the Eastern Europe. He found that traditionally people from Balkans to Carpathian Mountains area are very musically gifted and their folk tunes are rather groovy and quite danceable.
To signify this new passion for ethnic-based music Gosha assumed a new name – DJ Rheedoo. He played his first set under this new identity at the closing of Desiderata festival past August – and the response was overwhelming! Gosha has the recording available for listening and downloading here:
