MFG : The Prophecy (Symbiosis/Phonokol)Definitely the best album I heard since Transwave-Helium A lot of excellent tracks and i heard from people who came back from goa that some of their tracks were big hits in goa. Tracks 2,4,6 are superb, the others tracks are excelent. Get it now !!!!
This album, the debut from relative newcomers MFG, contains an interesting collection of tracks. Symbiosis note that MFG hail from a "hard Industrial" background and it shows through in a number of places here. The title track starts the trend, dance-floor friendly but not in itself igniting. A stream flowing down a wadi. Many of the tracks show a strong Israeli influence and MFG excel at creating a folksong-like 'chorus' to their tunes, for example "Magnetic Activity" (itself quite Phreaky to start) and "Illumination": this will get the party moving. 10/10. Other tracks are dominated by MFG's characteristic and sometimes relatively undeveloped bassline, such as the (well-titled) "Overload" and "Hypnotised". Too often on some tracks they lapse into a "bass+1+1" formula, powerful and Pagan, but less-Chakra friendly. This is a group that can do it both ways and does, as other cerebral tracks like the well-known "Shape the Future" show.Overall a well put together first album that should stamp a new imprint on the scene. With slightly more post-Industrial growth and polish a prosperous future is assured.
Strange no one mentions the fact that they have the same, ecstatic sound as Astral Projection... :-) The later is of course extremely well-produced, and more consistent in quality, but I think MFG is a "rising star" to watch in the future..!

The album is now available in France!!! Strong influences from Astral Projection (they work in the same studio, I think), and cool tracks. Not as deeper as Astral Projection, but with more practice, MFG can become a great psy-trance group! I like track 6... YoeL
forgivably similar to classic israeli style, but with room for growth. the crecendo effect that makes it sound familiar to astral projection (i agree with you jasonc) takes away from some of the originality that i encountered upon first listening to 'shape the future'. but aside from any negativity that may have emanated from this review, don't be mislead by a singular opinon. be true to yourself and try it.
MFG definately rules.. too bad not all their tracks in this disc are as good as magnetic activity.. MA is no doubt one of the most unique and powerfull goatrance chewns i ever heard! keep up the good work! they just gotta stop doing da generic acidtunes and work on some more intelligent stuff, and i'm sure they are capable. If you like Astral Projection then you should definitely enjoy this album. MFG have produced an album which is full of the same vibes. Having previously loved the `TRust in Trance' album by AP, I was surprised how similar the style was, but generally the tracks are not up to the same standard. That doesn`t really matter as long as the tracks have the same type of feel and vibe - which I think is the best there is. Track 3 - `Magnetic Activity' is the highlight of the album - a storming track. The others are excellent in parts but seem to fade out in others. This is definitely an album to buy, as I said if you like AP you will like this (but not as much). 9/10

I just got done listening to this for the first time and my impression is good. MFG sounds a bit like Astral Projection (that's a good thing!) and this album is great! My favorite tracks were Illumination (a nice spiritual touch), Shape the Future (just plain good) and Mystic Dawn, which is also the last track on Transient 4. Mystic Dawn is a bit slower, but works very well to bring the album to a close. 9/10.

My copy of The Prophecy differs slightly in line-up from the one listed above. I don't have New Horizon or Mystic Dawn on mine. Instead I have Maya Moon and Space Circus which I believe to be the best tracks on the whole album. I have the Symbiosis copy which contains these two tracks. You must check out Maya Moon no matter what. It is absolutely brilliant, one of those songs you could play out in the desert at sunrise and have the whole crowd experiencing spiritual satori.

How many versions of this CD are there anyway?? New Horizon, Mystic Dawn adn Space CIRCUS?!?!?! My version contains Maya Moon and Space TRAVEL... Anyway, when I first listened I thought it was pants.... shit was I wrong... This CD is the best thing in a LOOOOONG while. MFG shifts your mind into an infinite loop you just dont wanna get out of even if you could... :P People can fly as their teachers would say...

Hypnotized and Overlord are the best tracks on the cd. Hypnotized are on of the best songs i have heard. If you like MFG check out Shakta,Indoor ( wich also comes from Israel )and Transwave

A very cool band with a industrial background (yes in deed), and therfore their awesome sound. Yes they do work in the same studio as Astral Projection. A christian band with deep thoghts (MFG stands for: Message From God). Best wishes for a continued MFG and everybody to buy real nice albums of them. Fuck the rest!! BUY IT!!

i like mfg:s basslines and their different style.. i think that the prophecy is much better than new kind of world.. the only thing i can complain about is the lack of the kind of melodies you hear in astral projections songs.. i also think that some song, especially shape the future, are to long in the beginning..

This is totaly awesome... I think this is at least as good as New Kind Of World. Illumination, New Horizon, Shape The Future, this is only a few good trax on this cd. Check it out.

This is one of the greatest albums ever made. Enormous Israeli melodies, with a thick sound not unlike Astral Projection. All the tracks are awesome, but I would pick "illumination", one of the best tracks ever and the two tracks that were released on the UK version, "Maya Moon" and "Space Travel" a real stormer. Get this if you still can.

All I can say... MFG JUST RULE! Takes me to another stage of consiousness... it's just awezum... Especially "Inspiration" and "Alternate Dimension". I haven't heard this album, but I've ordered it, and just can't wait to have it... I think MFG beats Astral too... If any1 knows of an MFG homepage, email the adress to me!

I agree with Kingbeef and Phaedrus (even though i'm friends with both of them) This is a top notch effort by MFG, I go back and forth on which group i like better MFG or AP, guess i'll have to wait for new albums from both to decide.

I've got a problem, I am going to order the CD, MFG - The Prophecy, I already have the other two records. But now I don't know if I should order the UK version with "maya moon"..., or if I should order the other one, the "original". Witch one is the best? Damn, why did they make two versions of the CD, hell I am troubled. Besides all my trouble, I just want everybody to know that MFG, is one of the best, ever!, Far better than the all-too-euro AP! But I have to say that their latest album, Project Genesis, well, They are trying something new, and It doesn't work, they should go back to the "prophecy" sound!

overload is a one in a million track... ive just bought this cd after hearing it. rest of cd is good as well but even after 5-6 years overload sounds new >!!!
