Comments:

Look out for Moment of Truth, the debut album from Man With No Name, out on Concept in Dance in February.

What we think of it...

This is one of my favourite compilations of "non-dance" - ie good to listen to at home - trance, and seems to be widely available in UK. It begins with the clever, trippy "Asteroids" from Universal Sound, but then reverts to more mainstream, heavier stuff with "Silicon Trip". "Squidgy Atomica" describes the concept perfectly, the "boingsy, boingsy" psychedelia we have come to love. As usual Psychaos provide a harder edge, followed by funky techno from Universal Sound. Prana is on form with the more acoustic "Fiesta", perfect to trance out to. Weirdness later from Infinity Project (guess where the track title came from!?), followed by hard stompers from MWNN and Psychaos again. A nice ethereal ending from Space Tribe.

We're waiting for a proper review...

I think this album is great. My favourite track has to be Prana Fiesta. Does anyone know if the voice on it is saying 'Ulrika' (ka ka ka etc.) or is it just my twisted imagination?
Love it lots.

The intensity never lets up. One of the best GOA comps out there!

Still my favourite compilation! Silicon Trip and Ego Shredder never fail to fill the floor whenever I drop them in! This is definitely a must-have....

At first I thought this was pretty bland. With all the big goa names in this album I thought it would really excellent. However, after listening to it a few times I started to get used to it and discovered there were some really cool tracks. The best track is by Psychoas - `Perception of reality' - this track really gives me a buzz! The tracks by MWNN and TIP are average, nothing substantial. Only recommend this album to true fans of the music.

'Concept in Dance' is better for me, coz I like more kickin' stuff than this CD offers...

Yeah, I can recommend this one.The tracks with MWNN are the best ones however some tracks get on my nerve. Like the first It is a good compilation overall.

Strange comp...at first I thought it sucked; nothing worth getting for the first five tracks. But starting with Prana/fiest, this album blows up, yo! Prana shows everybody that you canb have a track that rocks the dance florr and your mind at the same time. Animals - intense sounds stompin' beat, addictive psychedelia. Ego shredder is, arguably the best recent track from TIP since the yellow comp. MWNN/adrenosphere is the best track not on "moment of truth" (one of the best albums released by an artist) and Pyschaos makes up for the dull "Psychaos" track with perception of reality. Space tribe ends it on a pretty trippy not, I like the tranquility balanced with energy; a good ending to the previous five incessant tracks. Eventhough I almost never listen to the first five tracks, the rest are just un-fuckin-believable!

'Silicon trip' is xcellent, but the other MWNN track is surprisingly weak...the 2 tracks from TIP are xcellent psychedelic stuff and 'Perception of Reality' by Psychaos is a true stomper. However, the last track, 'Flipout the dolphin' by Space Tribe is undoubtedly the best. Wonderful in the beginning and lots of psychedelic noises floating together in the middle, and then the last minutes are soft & chillin'. A major trip.
Atoms in Movement

A good compilation by Concept In Dance, but better for home listening. However, I find the track 'Psychaos' by Psychaos (Joti-Sidhu) absolutely awesome. As for Moment Of Truth by Man With No Name, I think it's quite good (first track blows your mind !)
Kochise

It's very good, but not the best. The 1st Concept in Dance (Digital Alchemy) was better!

Certainly the GREATEST Goa/techno compilation of the year 1995! It always has a place on the "top 10" of my favourite albums. In my opinion, the greatest tracks are "Perception of reality"; "Silicon Trip" (and "Psychaos", even if the bass drum is rather too "dry"). Thanx to Concept in Dance! (Don't you have noticed that NO Concept in dance 3 compilation was released in 1996? sob :((

I've had this compitation for six months at least now and I think I must be missing something. It's all very good goa but it's not a CD I come back to very much. Nothing really stands out as being any better or more exiting than alot of the other stuff I've heard. I'll have to go and listen to it again.

Released by Moonshine in the US. Full of bleeps and blops but they all make for a lot for mental and aural fun. I would not call this dark. It's very bright cept for the TIP music. What I call dark and aggresive would be Psy Harmonics - Hacking the Reality Myth. But this is more accesible for me and it stands out to be one of the best compilations next to TIP- Yellow, BLue and Phosphescent. Thumbs up for this one.

After listening to Concept in Dance I, I was very eager to obtain this CD. I was not disappointed. I loved every tracks. This is one of the best goa compilations I have ever heard. It's destined to be a classic. Every track is done by some of the most famous goa trance artists. I strongly recommend this CD for any serious goa trance fan. The Infinity Project's track is the best one I've heard from them. 10 out of 10! If anyone has trouble trying to obtain this CD, try their label's website. www.moonshine.com They are very helpful.

I only just bought this album in 1999, and I simply love it to no end!! Though it is an older sound, the songs still hold up because they are actually good songs: melodies, harmonies, actual key modulations and progressions, very fun polyrhythms, and enough layering to keep your ears quite busy. Definitely way better than most 'dance' tracks. Even now, 4 years later after this album originally came out, I think it album is totally worth having. It is one of my most frequently recommended 'goa' CDs. This is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Vol I of this series (which I bought based on the strength of this CD). Not that volume I is bad, but it really doesn't hold a candle to this CD. This is truly top notch music! Comparable to TIP 'Orange' (though not as hard) Everyone should make the effort to get this.

My opinion...its good... I was surprised @ its age, then laughed... way back in 95' when the 'shrooms were bluer and i didn't give a platypus about the year 2000, anyhows back to the present, get this only after the new Ouija album Brainshower, or Darshan, or Shiva Chandra, or Blue Planet Corp..or..or.... the music just keeps on getting better. zebrai.
