Ethosphere (Ryan Rudman) returns to Ektoplazm with his second full length album, Existence. Following up on his eclectic debut release, Reshift (2012), this album further explores the realms of multifaceted electronic music. As a guitarist with a love for everything from jazz to heavy riffage, Ethosphere has found his own sound by merging his favorite instrument with the endless sonic possibilities afforded by synthesizers and electronics. Redshift is the first release from Ethosphere, the alter ego of electronic music producer Ryan Rudman, born in South Africa and now based in London, U.K. This album explores midtempo/downtempo with a strong melodic character heavily influenced by the burgeoning psytrance culture of his home city, Cape Town, yet not restricted to formulaic dance floor tracks. Every track is an uncommon infusion, incorporating influences from rock, metal, breakbeat, glitch, ambient, industrial, dub, and acoustic music, elements of which can be heard interwoven throughout the journey.
