I’m sorry to say this, but this is no psychedelic music to me.

  • Ian says:

I really enjoyed listening to this one … thanks :)

  • psylophyta says:

    horrible synths

  • M says:

    Good album!

Sadly, the voting and the current 70% rating of this album doesn’t represent its quality.

The site seems to be overrun by people who like other stuff and will give a low rating to a release simply because it’s not their preferred genre.

  • Rjcharley says:

Are you kidding?!?!? This is AMAZZZZING!!!! Dont listen to the haters. This album rocks!! Very well produced! Big up Deerob!! Definitely deserves a higher rating. I love your unique style :) :) Ich liebe deine Musik!

  • Deerob Fan since 2011 says:

Horrible synths? Because it’s not your typical clubby Nexus preset?
The detailed work and consideration put into the sound engineering is mind-blowing! (Deerob vlog in YouTube opens that up a little to them, who can’t hear it themselves)
And no, it’s not psychedelic in the original image of the adjective. It’s not repetitive and brain-numbning, but experimental and advanced.
Unique music, appreciated by the ones who are not afraid to explore new genres, who love rich soundscapes and variety.
Haters gonna hate, but fortunately, your music keeps grabbing people along the way one by one. Keep it up!

  • Method of Kolishin says:

Love this EP, It’s a perfect follow up to “Deevolution”. This really deserves higher ratings and more listeners who can actually respect the music!
The synth work is top notch, and way better than the majority of whats being released here and on sites like beatport.

It’s still pretty psychedelic by nature just not the same ol’ thing like everyone is used to hearing. its very technical in the way each track is arranged.

5/5 for me without a doubt. Can’t wait for the next one!! :D

  • nomad moon says:

Great, reaallly great thank u, kinda IM back in the day, pure extasy downloading :)

  • Matt MindSweep (Mutagen Records) says:

    Hey there,

    Well what to say,

to me this is not psychedelic, and deerob fan since 2011 i dont know what your talking about but none of my music is ever been made with clubby presets from any synth, i use alot of different synths and make most of my sounds from scratch.

What i must say is the production is great quality, the music has soul and feeling, just doesnt represent what i consider psychedelic. (im not a dark/psycore/darkpsy/forest/hi tek fan, just isnt psychedelic to me and people read what i say (psychedelic to ME). Everybody is welcome to their own opinion of music, just dont take it thw wrong way, and ignore anybody without constructive criticsm. What i can say is i see the work and effort that goes into this music, and yes its experimental.

    GOOD LUCK to Deerob.

    6 VERY NICE TRAXX! :D

  • Ali Nagori says:

it was amazing tracks , thanks a lot for this pure morning.

  • Mrs Miggins says:

This is brilliant by any standard. How people can give poor marks/reviews based on not liking or agreeing with its categorisation is just stupid. Beethovens 5th isn’t psychadelic either.

  • Kai says:

Blowing my mind. Beautiful! Must listen for all psy melodic full-on connoisseurs. Enjoy!

  • jinxedzenses says:

    ..infected mushroom?
    <3 sounds good

  • luke says:

Psychedelic in the ‘Goa’ sense it isnt, but as far as modern psytrance goes it has all the right elements..
Not to everybodys taste sure, but still a well constructed excursion of some very well produced trance.

  • Lex says:

Gorgeous sounds; deserves to be much higher rated than it is. Definitely psychedelic, just it’s got a new-school feel, rather than more classical goa vibes.

  • PsikA says:

I’m very curious about the second track intro .. ! Can anyone tell me the original ? Thanks in advance :)

  • wackygoose says:

@Matt MindSweep your words were very well put.

Im not really a fan of full-on but this is being very psychedelic to ME. HAHA

  • Sash says:

    awesome Job, bro.. really nice.

  • Kris says:

Great tracks as always! Thank you!

  • PsiloCyber says:

Ohh Thanks this is an awesome album. =) .\/,, Gave me inspiration to dig out the Axiom.

  • PsiloCyber says:

@jinxedzenses: …yep I think I heard some melody in some track reminding me of IM’s Cities Of The Future, too. ;) But no worries, surely just coincidence. There’s only so many notes n scales to use.

  • psylophyta says:

I am sorry, guys, but these cheesy melodies and too real synths are exactly what makes this music not psychedelic. Listen to other full-on on this website, it’s full of innovation. But this music is going exactly in the direction of pop music, where all purpose disappears. Not that I am a hater of Deerob, or of anybody at all, I wish you all the best, but part of the reason that I am listening to such music is that it is conductive for higher consciousness (psychedelic means mind-expanding). But so much of the music that is now called psychedelic is not psychedelic at all, but rather it could be called psychostenic (:!!!) – from Greek stenos, narrow. If you want to hear some really psychedelic music, go to the 1970s bands like Hawkwind, Gong, etc. I am getting tired of this shit. It’s too boring.

  • Emi says:

^ – And real instruments can’t be psychedelic? That would be new to me, there’re a lot good psychedelic rock bands out there.
I get your point though, but if you think this is boring, feel free to go back to your 1970s bands. This is 2014 … People, music, the entire world is developing new things all the time, which in my humble opinion is great, because I personally don’t like to listen to things I’ve heard already 1000 times. It’s okay if you do so, but that’s just your opinion. To me this is mind expanding more than other “real” full on releases, and that is of course just my opinion.

  • Nymphomania says:

Plenty of things are more boring than Deerob in 2014, coming from a huge fan of such things as Hawkwind. Commercialism and the perversion of art into money-making scheme is the enemy; this album is a free download.

Deerob arranges pop elements in new, complex and inventive ways. We have all heard pop music, we cannot deny it, and IMO we shouldn’t try to run from the fact that it has penetrated our brains. Let Deerob transform what was shallow and petty into something beautiful :)

  • DJ Bloodsugar says:

Why is this getting so much hate?
This is amazing! It’s not very psychadelic. I have to agree at this point.
But otherwise this album is a great production! It gives me the feeling of listening to Infected Mushroom.

    Awesome work, Deerob!

  • Noah Nagel says:

This album deserves way more attention than it’s getting. Deerob, you should publish to spotify if you can. You would attract the lot of us who use spotify exclusively.

  • Nymphomania says:

This album is great, deep sound design and I think an improvement over the 1st album. Actually fewer pop elements than the previous album as well, and I don’t find the melodic progressions and melodies to be too cheesy, rather cinematic/soundtrack like, and dramatic.

  • Nymphomania says:

The scatting in track 5 is dope! Shpongle sorta did something like this but always covered the voice with layers of processing.

  • vibrane says:

@PsikA; the 2nd tracks intro comes from Carmina Burana (Carl Orff).

  • Dêâthbêâm says:

Well done, just not my cup of tea. While I won’t be listening to it much, 5/5 for production quality. Keep up the good work.

  • So many haters says:

Many didnt hear what they wanted in there ear :-P too bad fuck that
I like it a lot! First 2 tracks sounded for me like Silent Witch …very playfull/love that kind of sound.

    KEEP IT UP

  • XZeeR says:

i clicked on this album because i liked the artwork, regardless of the rating, and i was surprised! i absolutely loved it!! makes me think of how many great albums i’ve missed because of incorrect ratings.

  • TheProfileth says:

    SOOOOOO GOOOOOD

  • Arborean says:

I also think this album has an incorrect rating
