Flights Of Infinity is the second album from Jikkenteki (Rennis Buchner), the driving force behind PAR-2 Productions. Following up on the surprise success of Jikkenteki’s ambitious debut The Long Walk Home (2005), Flights Of Infinity invites the listener to embark on an epic journey deep into the heart of psychedelic trance. The sound is unique, fusing old school influences with futuristic experimentation. Through the use of unusually long track lengths and alternative time signatures, Jikkenteki bends the rules, overturns convention, and pushes the envelope. Far from being gimmicky, this album exhibits a back-to-basics mentality that balances style with genuine substance. As such, Flights Of Infinity succeeds in providing an original musical experience that is “far beyond the norm.”

Absolutely awesome! I love that long track. At times this release reminds me of the sound of the British trance-scene in the nineties, cool, intelligent and very psychedelic!

An incredible album ! Very psychedelic approach to making music, I read your notes on how you minimized sequencing and sided with a more “live” production approach. It’s very inspiring at the very least. And that logic resonates throughout many things in life. I hear a lot of very emotional pieces from your label, lots of good vibes. Certainly there should be a realisation and awareness uprise about many psychedelic trance sides that are unheard of, I certainly hope so and my hopes solidify every once in a while when I hear great music. This is a breath of fresh air - the final track Running Start has pages turned and a heavy book closing on an awesome track and collection, but this wasnt the conclusion but more likely turned the leaf into a new chapter in journey trance - what it was supposed to be about originally , and not the psycho killer distraction engine the scene has become in many parts. This certainly touches the Otherside, even the Dark side, but has not forgotten that the Journey cuts right through diverse psychological terrain…. well done!
