Imperceptible Memories is the fourth album from Wasaru – an artist and musician that does not need any “hocus pocus” to flower something up. His focus is plain, real, down-to-Earth, exceptional, and meaningful music with vocals that are heartfelt, passionate, realistic, deep, hypnotic, and gracefully charismatic. This release is filled with drama, excitement, and real life feelings of hopes and dreams that come through as the singers and lyrics take hold and paint a tapestry of images within your heart and soul – articulately expressed and performed just for you, to cherish and use to gather wisdom. Life is a poem that grows and develops as each and every word forms and resonates inside you and around you, as does this release. Mastering and artwork by Wasaru.

In today’s electronic music scene, where genre overrules music perception in most listeners, there comes a need for a fresh start. More and more grow into listening to music within particular confines, presuming that music within a certain genre must sound the same. As hard it is in this day and age, we ask you to disregard this type of listening while immersed in the special sound of Subsequent Hymns, a new release from Flying Woofer Records compiled by Gelido. Mastering by Soul Trax Productions, India, with artwork by Funi Nini.

It has been said that talking about music is like dancing about architecture: the self-referential circle of language spins us around, marking the steps inward from one empty definition to the next. Only the visceral impact of a feeling beyond these words can fulfill the search for meaning within the motions of this dance. To honour this notion, Atman Construct selected these works without regard for the conventional categories of genre—ambient, IDM, psychedelic, glitch and so on—but simply because in combination they express a collective, emotive experience. Into This Wired Abyss provides gentle soundscapes, fluid craftsmanship, and organic, narrative performances. A big thank you to all involved, who have freely contributed their excellent work, for making this diverse and international project possible. Mastering and artwork by Atman Construct.

The first thing to you should know about Itsu (Ben Jancovich) is that he doesn’t much care for genres. Terms like psychedelic, IDM, glitch, drum and bass, dubstep, and ambient are relevant, but not quite adequate to describe his style. Itsu’s lush, underwater soundscapes and ethereal melodies soothe the listener into a false sense of security before exploding into a barrage of distorted granular synthesis, rumbling sub bass and frenetic breakbeats. There is something strangely familiar about the music of Sublimate, but at the same time, it is not quite like anything you’ve heard before. Mastered by Black Samurai with artwork by Christian Jones.

Welcome to 2012, another year that will test the innovation of electronic music. Cheese & Biscuits is a testament to exactly that, a collection of some of the best glitch/breaks/bass/IDM and downright unclassifiable music from Australia and around the globe. This release reflects the broad and upward direction Adapted Records has recently chosen to take. With the melodic funk of Griff, the abstract mastery of Mr. Bill, the melted perfection of Circuit Bent, the brutal raw energy of Meat Axe, and the talents of many more all playing a part in this diverse release which is both thought- and body-provoking. If you think these are big claims then by all means go ahead and test them, because this 24 track release is also a free one! Mastered by AMB with cover design by Funi.
