Gliese 581C presents Trip To Infinity, the full-length debut of HelixNebula (Stanislav Tiptsov), a Russian producer already known for his MentalImage project, which previous released Dreams Vol. 2 here on Ektoplazm. This time the focus is on active dance floor music inspired by the retrodelic sound of Goa trance, finishing off with a few cover songs that will bring back memories. Mastering by Mental Reason with cover artwork by Sasha Martinsen.

ABSOLUTELY GRAND ! 110% would be an understatement. Each track is perfect. First time so many psytrance at once doesn’t bore me a little. And the closing track by MentalImage is super nice as usual :)
Well, I’d say that “Silicon Galaxy” is the weak point of this release.
There is simply not enough melodic goa that does not sound like it came straight out of mid east.
