Highpersonic Whomen was founded in 2001 by Justin Space AKA Tommi Sirkiä (Haltya, Headphonics) and Frank Further AKA Jürgen Sachau (Haltya, Outolintu) to provide an outlet for their experiments in fusing clean and approachable progressive trance music with psychedelic undercurrents to form a “psygressive” hybrid sound. The result was Alternative Energysource, their full-length debut album on Thirteen Productions, in late 2002. Since then, it has garnered considerable critical acclaim and many listeners identify it as one of the best progressive psytrance releases of the new millennium. In 2004 the group experienced changes as Jürgen concentrated on other projects and Make Louhio (Kiwa, Headphonics) joined in. After being remastered in 2010 this classic work of Finnish electronic music is now available for free download and enjoyment by all. New artwork by Basilisk; jellyfish photos by fPat. Special thanks to Peter Gerkman for making this re-release possible!

Many years ago in Helsinki I was leaving the record store Octarine (I think it was called) when the guy working there gave me an LP with some of these tracks on it. I LOVED IT but lost sight of it a while back, and have been thinking about it — now I find it here. AAaahh :) Sweet.
