I’ve definitely not downloaded all the albums on Ektoplazm from as far back as 2008, but this collection here does cover some unexplored ground- most awesome!

Being a collection of Ektoplazm’s all time best, I expected there’d be something from Zoungla’s Entwine – that album had damn epic sounds with profound spiritual touches…

    Thanks though.

where is disco hooligans banging tracks?

  • pyc says:

Some very good tracks, but overall I do not think my taste is similar to Basilisk’s. If only I would be allowed to make similar compilation, we could then measure our percentages……. ;)

  • Penumbra says:

Brilliant work, Basilisk. Not only did you pick some of my faves, but you made the whole thing flow beautifully also. Thank you, and Kudos!

  • Nymphomania says:

I agree with you, pyc, about the percentages. Only 6 tracks total for darkpsy/forest/psycore? And tons (15+ tracks) of full on and psychill.

Still, every track picked is masterful. These are 50 of the best psy tunes of all time, absolutely. Still a 5/5, and incredible selection.

  • CelticJager says:

best release in history……..the forest/darkpsy stuff is amazing..

  • Conack says:

SubConciousMind’s iRemberem oGa: A fucking masterpiece.
SCM’s album inspires me to open a club to educate the masses as to what Real music is.

Easily Embarrassed: Wide variety of great songs, would have to put ‘Heart Wired’ at the pinnacle if I could only choose one.

Seamoon’s: Outbackfrogz will forever be the special song that embodies “Seamoon” for me. Tricky Transients a close second favourite. Brilliant.

  • xoxeval says:

  • Simon says:

Great compilation, I’ve been listening to it a million times.

There seem to be two small errors in the track listing, though. Song #35 is actually the song “Theobromine in my Blood”, not “Thinking like Dolphins”, and Track #33 is actually called “Another Kick in the Face”, not Head (at least I assume). The only place where this seems to be wrong is this page, the downloads look fine.

    Thanks for this great collection!

  • Thank you for the trips. Really a massive compilation.
